A conviction could send Nesheiwat to state prison for six years and result in mandatory lifetime sex offender registration. Current out on $100,000 bail, he is scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 6 in Fullerton.

Nesheiwat, who worked in various volunteer roles for the AYSO, is accused of contacting one boy between April 12-20 and a second between March 1 and June 30 “with the intent of committing lewd acts,” according to an Orange County District Attorney's office statement that indicates the teen was arrested by La Habra cops on Oct. 8.

Anyone who believes they too may have been a victim or has other information that can help the case is encouraged to contact Supervising District Attorney Investigator Paul Carvo at 714.347.8794 or La Habra Police Detective David Diaz at 562.905.9762.

A Faris Nesheiwat who would be about the same age was a stand out prep football player at La Serna High School in Whittier.
