Falsettos

Theatre Out presents a new staging of James Lapine and William Finn's musical Falsettos, with a special Sunday matinee performance this week. This is the story of Marvin, his gay lover Whizzer, his ex-wife Trina, their son Jason, and, finally, Marvin's therapist (and Trina's lover) Mendel. Life is messy—and through all the blissful ups and crippling downs of these characters, one thing ultimately prevails: their love for each other and family. Take a trip back to the Reagan era with Falsettos, a Tony-winning two-act play (March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland), that hit Broadway in 1992 and kept on running—now performing in Orange County more than two decades later and still as significant.

Fridays, Saturdays; Sun., April 21. Starts: April 12. Continues through May 11, 2013
