OK, so this is kind of old, but still eye-catching. According to NBC, A Boise, Idaho theater marquee caused unnecessary anxiety because of the words “Explosions in the Sky” on “Sept. 11.”
The post-rock band Explosions in the Sky is playing on the 10th anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks, as the marquee announces.
Apparently the band has had 9/11-related controversy before; their second album was released late August 2001. Called Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell the
Truth Shall Live Forever, the album's artwork features a plane shining a light on an angel, and
includes a liner note that reads “this plane will crash tomorrow.” The story states, “A few months later, guitarist Michael James was detained at an airport
because his guitar case had a sticker with the same message.
