“El Piolin,” Legendary Spanish-Language Radio Personality, on Tom Leykis RIGHT NOW!

Right now, as I type, Eddie “El Piolín” Sotelo, the legendary Spanish-language DJ who served as the inspiration for my ¡Ask a Mexican! column, who inspired the largest protests in American history in 2006 when millions of people took to the streets to call for amnesty, who was unceremoniously shown the door by Univisión after being accused of sexual harassment by one of his workers, is on The Tom Leykis Show. OH SNAP!

]

El Piolín is going around town talking up his new show for Sirius, which should be as awesome as his previous show and starts October 18, and will go from 6 a.m. in the morning until 10 a.m. daily. And while he's already given interviews to other news outlets, you won't hear a better interview than with Leykis, who has this great habit of getting reclusive radio legends to talk without filter, so this interview is a must-listen.

No word on how long the conversation will go on, but it's already more than half an hour, and I'm sure it'll last at least an hour. In case you're not listening live, Leykis will play it on a loop for 24 hours. Tune in at www.blowmeuptom.com. And Tom: take me out Kelly Thomas style!
