Ed Royce and Gary Miller, Battling for Same House Seat, Boast Endorsements From Identical Politicos

Close watchers of the congressional redistricting process (let's see, that'd be Members of Congress, their staffs and all those pocket-greasers) know that in Orange County, four districts currently being represented by Republicans are being squeezed into three. Changing demographic fever–catch it!

The smart money (pocket-greasers shout out No. 2) is on Reps. John Campbell (R-Newport Beach) and 476-term, term-limits champion Dana Rohrabacher (R-Huntington Beach) to retain newly re-jiggered seats, while Ed Royce (R-Fullerton) and Gary Miller (R-Diamond Bar) prepare for a North County battle royale . . . with lotsa cheese (pocket-greasers, you owe me big time).

And so, in a bid to position himself as the choice of your father's Republicans, Royce cut a press release today that claims he has already lined up endorsements for the new 39th District seat straddling LA and Orange counties from: Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca; LA County Supervisors Don Knabe and Mike Antonovich; La
Habra Heights council members Stan Carroll, Roy Francis, Howard
Vipperman
and Carl Westerhoff; Walnut Mayor Pro Tem Mary Su and
Councilman Joaquin Lim; Diamond Bar's former mayor, “Everybody” Wen Chang “Tonight”; the
Lincoln Clubs of Los Angeles County; Orange County Sheriff Sandra
Hutchens
; OC District Attorney Tony Rackauckas; and all five
OC supervisors (Shawn Nelson, Pat Bates, Bill Campbell, Janet
Nguyen
and John Moorlach)–with more nods rolling in, the Royce release swears.

What's curious about this is Miller's campaign site claims he's also received reelection nods from Bates, Bill Campbell, Knabe and
Antonovich.

I blame the confusion on the pocket-greasers.
