ORIGINAL POST, JUNE 4, 1:47 P.M.: Did anyone else just feel that?
About five minutes ago, I felt a quick jolt under my feet followed by what sounded like someone running across my roof.
Someone on the other side of Costa Mesa confirmed they, too, felt an earthquake.

UPDATE, JUNE 4, 2:27 P.M.: According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGA), a 2.5 earthquake centered in Costa Mesa struck at 1:39 p.m. today.
The USGA tracks quakes around the world that are 2.5 or greater on the Richter scale.
The Imperial County town of Niland near Salton Sea was struck with a 3.6 shaker at 12:46 p.m. today, according to the USGA.
