The lawsuit that claimed Taco Bell was serving fake beef was dropped earlier this month, but the company is still as unsettled as a just-neutered Chihuahua.
Last week, the chain called for an apology from the Alabama law firm that brought on the allegations, running full-page ads in Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times and New York Times with the headline “Would it kill you to say you're sorry?”
According to Fox News, the firm, Beasley Allen, claimed in a now-disappeared press release that it withdrew the suit because of “changes in marketing and product disclosure” by Taco Bell. Though in its ad, Taco Bell asserts that it has made no changes whatsoever, declaring, “we've always been completely transparent.”
Taco Bell CEO Greg Creed told Fox News that company executives will be meeting with its franchise partners to decide whether to take legal action against the firm.
