As you know, DivBar, the Newport Beach BBQ joint that opened back in the summer of 2012, closed quite suddenly a few months ago. It was housed in the long-vacant PCH building that used to be Josh Slocum's, a.k.a. Dennis Rodman's restaurant, which closed sometime in 2005. Now a new tenant has put up a banner.

2601 W. Coast Hwy will be home to Pizza Nova, a wood-fired pizza joint that has three locations in San Diego. It offers pasta, salads, and pizzas baked in a wood-burning oven. The menu lists a Thai chicken pizza, a portobello and pancetta pizza with truffle oil, and a so-called “The Works with Bait”, which includes anchovies on request (har har).
