Disneyland Resort District Goes to Pot

The Happiest Place on Earth, meet The Highest Place on Earth.

What is supposedly Orange County's first large-scale marijuana expo opens Saturday morning at the Anaheim Convention Center, which is, of course, directly across Katella Avenue from Disney's California Adventure theme park and the main road leading magically into the sprawling Magic Kingdom resort district.

Eric Carpenter gets the scoop in the Orange County Register.

The Know Your Rights Expo is expected to draw 20,000 righteous folks ogling hemp products, listening to informed speakers and grooving to reggae music.

Retired Orange County Superior Court Judge Jim Gray and California Green Party candidate for U.S. Senate Duane Roberts of Anaheim are among the confirmed speakers.

Organizers include Orange County NORML, the cannabis clinic-representing Glew & Kim law firm of Santa Ana and other backers of marijuana-legalizing Prop 19 on the November state ballot.

You must be 18 or older to attend the expo, which runs from 10 a.m. to
10 p.m. Saturday at the Convention Center, 800 W. Katella Ave., Anaheim. Tickets are $10-$15.

Remember: It's a let's-get-small world after all.
