I wish I could say I've been to most of Mau's “Dinner with Dave” events, where he whips up first-come, first-serve meals while bringing over musicians he likes, which have ranged from teenage mariachi outfits to folkies–but my usual Memphis nights are Tuesdays and Fridays. And when I do go on Wednesdays, I leave as Mau is setting up. But I have gone to enough of them to know that the food is always stellar–will he have a batch of his amazing chile colorado again?–and Mau's following is legion.
