This weekend, contestants on the second season of The Great Food Truck Race finished up their last stop before the finale. The show won't air until August, but as we've been reporting, fans, local news and bloggers have been revealing the progress of the competition via Tweets, articles and posts. There's not much the Food Network can do to stem the tide of information when a show like this plays out in the public.
Are there spoilers out there? Sure, there are. But they're only there for those who care to find them. Just as the comic-book fanboys already know the plot of the yet-to-be-released The Green Lantern or what the new villain of the next Batman film will look like, the Internet will provide if you ask it. Fans will always find a way. As for this show? It will only benefit from the extra attention. This is buzz money can't buy. A built-in audience, especially OC food-truck-lovers, who have two horses in the race and now eagerly await watching the entire series.
So do you want to know whether The Lime Truck and Seabirds made it all the way to the finale of the second season of The Great Food Truck Race? Read on, if you aren't afraid of spoilers.
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD
Seabirds, as we said in an earlier post, was unfortunately out before the show moved on to Memphis. It finished in fifth place.
Those who moved on to Memphis included The Lime Truck, Korilla BBQ from NYC, Roxy's Gourmet Grilled Cheese from Boston and Hodge Podge from Cleveland.
Korilla BBQ was nowhere to be seen after the show moved to Atlanta this weekend, so it can be safely assumed they placed last after the Memphis challenge.
Now, results from the Atlanta elimination have been streaming in, and the Twitter feed for Roaming Hunger ATL reveals the final two are The Lime Truck and Hodge Podge.
OC is moving on to the finale in Miami!
As for who will triumph this coming weekend and be crowned winner? Since there will be no public victory laps, that's a secret I'm sure the producers of the show will be able to keep under wraps until the show airs.
