Dickey's Barbecue Pit, the Texas chain more famous for their gigantic yellow 32-ounce soda cup than perhaps their barbecue, has tried to get a foothold in OC before. Gustavo reviewed them back in '08 when they opened in Irvine. That location failed and has been replaced by Koko's Cafe.

Now Dickey's Barbecue Pit is trying again. They've opened a brand spanking new store in Brea, on Imperial Hwy., where Lucille's Smokehouse has so far enjoyed very little competition.
How will Dickey's fare fare against Lucille's? There are already reports of lines, which was a problem the old Irvine location wished it could have.
