The president of the Saddleback Valley Unified School District board has been arrested for allegedly resisting arrest, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
Dennis Walsh is accused of trying to prevent deputies from having his vehicle towed Monday after it was believed to have been involved in a non-injury, hit-and-run collision with a fire hydrant.

Deputies went to Walsh's home in Lake Forest after the collision and spotted the car in the driveway, sheriff's spokeswoman Gail Krause told Rancho Santa Margarita Patch.
“When deputies told the registered owner, Dennis Walsh, that the vehicle was evidence in the non-injury, hit-and-run collision and would need to be towed, he became uncooperative and tried to stop the deputies from towing the vehicle,” Krause reportedly said.
The hit-and-run investigation is ongoing. Walsh and the district are mum on the arrest so far.
