Dennis Rodman, Who Wormed His Way Out of Paying Child Support, Must Cough Up $500k

A Superior Court commissioner in Orange has found former NBA freak Dennis Rodman in contempt for more than his hair, tackle-boxed face and bro-dacious hangers-on, orderering “The Worm” to cough up $500,000 because he's been worming his way out of paying child support.

This is nothing new for Rodman, who performed more than 100 hours of community
service in May after being found guilty of four counts of contempt of court for
failing to pay child support for 2009 and 2010.

Attorneys for his ex-wife, Jamie Moyer Rodman of Costa Mesa, had previously sought $850,000 in back child support, but the two sides later reached an out-of-court settlement pinning that tab at $500k. Orange County Superior Court
Commissioner Barry Michaelson agreed this week Rodman has been underpaying ever since, sentenced the mad rebounder to informal probation and threatened to add jail time should Wormie fail to comply.

Linnea Willis, Rodman's attorney, blamed the failure to make correct payments and even show up to court hearings on the NBA Hall of Famer not being served the correct court documents, the Associated Press reports. The underpayments, Willis reportedly claimed, were unintentional and Rodman began paying the correct amounts once he'd been informed of the errors.

But then the shark is said to have told the AP she will try to get the $500k ruling overturned anyway, on grounds the former Piston/Bull/Maverick/Spur/Laker was not present at the hearing where the court accepted the agreed-upon amount and that Rodman's previous attorneys missed a deadline to file to have the award set aside.

The drama never ends for the Dr. Drew rehabber, Newport Beach's worst former neighbor and the ex-boy toy of Madonna and Carmen Electra. He and Michelle Rodman still have to work out custody and visitation rights for their son and daughter pending a Jan. 24 court date.

Life was so much easier on the other kind of court, eh Dennis?
