David Russo Spreads the Surf City Charm in Red Bluff

When police in the Northern California town of Red Bluff went to help an injured man lying in the street early Saturday, they were confronted by another man who told the cops to leave the guy alone. When he refused commands to back off, the man rushed the officers and became combative. Robert Rineer, 55, of Red Bluff, was eventually arrested on suspicion of resisting, obstructing and delaying a peace officer in the performance of his duties.

Meanwhile, the other man with a head injury, 42-year-old David Russo, of Huntington Beach, was placed in an ambulance–before becoming combative himself.

Russo allegedly became agitated and punched his arm through a laminated-glass rear window of the ambulance, reports the Red Bluff Daily News.

After Russo was treated at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital for the original head injury and wounds he suffered after punching out the window, he was reportedly arrested and charged with vandalism and public intoxication.

This may have hurt worst of all: While Rineer was booked into Tehama County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail, the bond for Russo was set at $10,250.
