Not much more has been released about a man’s fatal shooting at Anaheim’s Akua Motor Inn except this: His identity.
He was Daniel Richardson, 33, of Irvine, according to the Anaheim Police Department.
Cops were sent after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday to the motel at 1018 E. Orangethorpe Ave. because two men got into an altercation and one shot the other.
Richardson was taken with life-threatening injuries to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, where he later died.
The suspected gunman, whose name has not been released, was taken into custody, according to police, who also have not yet revealed a motive for the fight that led to the tragic end.
