Two men got into an argument around 5 a.m. Wednesday in the 1900 block of
West Walnut Street in Santa Ana.
Minutes later, police got a call about someone being assaulted on the same spot near First Street and the Orange County General Relief agency.
Officers arrived to find on the sidewalk a 32-year-old man who had been stabbed several times.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Because the dead man was not carrying identification, he was not immediately
identified. But police later said he was Damoun
Youden Rodrequez.
An arrest was later made in connection with
the stabbing death.
Eleazar Fausto Cruz, Jr., 31, of Santa Ana, is now in custody.
