An LAPD cop, who Orange County prosecutors sought to have jailed without bail “based on the nature of the
criminal threat” the San Clemente man allegedly posed to his wife, had his case dismissed last week because the Mrs. refuses to testify.
Orange County Superior Court Judge Steven Bromberg on March 25 granted the motion to dismiss filed by 45-year-old Dale Wayne Ziesmer's defense attorneys.

Dale Wayne Ziesmer, Honored LAPD Cop, Charged for Violent Threats Against Woman
Early on Sept. 25, 2012, the woman told another officer from the Los Angeles Police Department that Ziesmer made a threat against her that made her fear for her life, read an Orange County District Attorney's office (OCDA)
arraignment statement released two days later. The officer who took the complaint told
authorities within the department, and when Ziesmer arrived at work that
day he was “disarmed,” the OCDA added.
After an Orange County Sheriff's
Department investigation, Ziesmer was charged
with one felony count of criminal threats that could have fetched him up to three years in state prison with a conviction. The OCDA then asked the judge to deny the cop bail because of the threat and his access to firearms, prosecutors revealed at the time.
But the alleged victim is not cooperating with prosecutors, which spurred the motion to dismiss by the defense.
As noted in our post on Ziesmer's arraignment, the LAPD blog had reported the officer was honored by San Fernando Valley mental health providers
in May 2012 for his “dedicated support and assistance” responding to those ”
in need of emergency mental health services.”
