More than 250 members of families who lost or nearly lost loved ones to violent crimes in Orange County are expected to attend the nonprofit Crime Survivors Inc. Thanksgiving Hopeful Healing Day and Meal Basket Program Sunday in Fountain Valley.

Family members of murder victims and the survivors of attempted murder, domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, child abuse and elder abuse will enjoy lunch, entertainment and Thanksgiving meal baskets they can take home for the holiday.
“We care and want to empower all victims of crime with hopeful healing and strengthening them to celebrate the holiday and to survive and thrive,” say organizers of the event that runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday in the party rooms at Boomers 16800 Magnolia St., Fountain Valley.
