Crime Survivors Inc., which you may know from the current recall campaign against an Orange County judge, expects more than 350 child and adult victims of crime at its Thanksgiving Hopeful Healing Day at an Irvine amusement park Sunday.
Families of murder and survivors of attempted murder, domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse and human trafficking will receive free lunches, snacks, treats, miniature golf, arcade games and Thanksgiving meal baskets to take home courtesy of the nonprofit.
"We care and want to empower all victims of crime with hopeful healing and strengthening them to celebrate the holiday with gratitude to survive and thrive," explains Crime Survivors Inc., whose mission is to encourage that empowerment all year long.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Boomers, 3405 Michelson Drive, Irvine. Casual, comfy dress is recommended. Reservations are limited to those victimized by crime. For more information, email Patricia Wenskunas at firstname.lastname@example.org.
