An Anaheim web-preneur just launched an online service that works like a dating website, matching couples with other couples, but Michael Shen swears it's not for swingers, just potential new friends.

Betabeat.com gets the scoop on CoupleHang from Shen's Shenpire Group LLC, which boasts its “new social network for couples to meet similar couples without wasting time with awkward strangers and swingers.”
Launched Wednesday, CoupleHang.com is aimed at those in serious relationships who “live in the suburbs and shop at Whole Foods” but “can't bear to spend time with your wild, aimless single friends.” You know, folks who are “in need of more friends who share your passion for minivans and Traditional Home magazine?”
As we longtime married parentals try to recall days we had a “passion” for minivans, Shen advises Betabeat to, “Think Facebook meets Match.com, but in a platonic way. It's made for couples to meet and become friends with other like-minded couples nearby.”
You'll enter your personal details and passions, get matched with possible like-minded couples and then start messaging one another–like it says at the top, just like a dating service. Shen sees it being especially helpful to couples that are new to an area.
The cost? One month for $9.95, three months for $7.95/month or six months for $4.95/month.
Ditching the nerdy couple you met at the park = priceless.
