Colonel Sanders' White Suit Bought For $21,510 At Auction

The Colonel's white suit and the skinny clip-on bow tie is iconic as the man who wore it, and when it went to auction this past Saturday, it fetched a whopping $21,510.

The winner of the auction, Masao “Charlie” Watanabe, the president and CEO of KFC Japan, promptly put it on and posed for this picture. The Colonel's signature horn-rimmed glasses was not part of the auction.

Watanabe plans to display the suit at one of his stores in Tokyo, where he he told reporters “Every child in Japan knows Colonel Sanders' face and his uniform.”
