Clock is Ticking on $156k Mega Millions Lottery Ticket Bought in Dana Point 3 Months Ago

It's out there somewhere.

A California state lottery ticket worth $156,712 was purchased at Super Stop Liquor, 34469 Golden Lantern, Dana Point, and has not been claimed three months later.

The ticket was part of Mega Millions, a multi-state game played in California, 41 other states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. It matched five of the six numbers in the drawing–11, 17, 31, 48, 12, missing only the Mega number 1.

“The California Lottery reminds winners to sign the back of their ticket, keep tickets in a safe place and contact lottery officials or visit their local Lottery District Office as soon as possible,” state lottery officials advise.

The Orange County Lottery District Office is at 3400 W. Warner Ave., Ste. F, Santa Ana (phone 714.708.0540). Lottery officials warn winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim prizes, meaning the ticket purchased in Dana Point is set to expire at 5 p.m. July 24.
