Cirque du Soleil presents Dralion

Wild, haunting goddesses and feral, dangerous animals—it's the latest Cirque du Soleil themed show to tour through SoCal. Dralion (named for the dragon of the East and the lion of the West) brings together two parts of the world in a wildly clashing spectacle of culture and nature. Here, each of the show's characters are designated a color (blue for air, green for water, red for fire and ochre for earth) to symbolize the elements of nature becoming one with mankind. Of course, no Cirque du Soleil show is complete without gravity-defying acts of aerialism, balancing, dancing, spinning, jumping, and she-can't-really-be-doing-that displays of body contortion. No need to travel out to Vegas for a true Cirque performance—this week, the twisty troop comes to us.

Thu., Nov. 1, 7:30 p.m.; Fri., Nov. 2, 7:30 p.m.; Sat., Nov. 3, 7:30 p.m.; Sun., Nov. 4, 1 & 5 p.m., 2012
