Assemblyman Chuck DeVore (R-Irvine) likes to pander to teabaggers, those ultra-conservative cranks who wrap themselves in the flag, the U.S. Constitution and the Founding Fathers' precious bodily fluids.
Wonder what those folks would think about ol' Chuckie advocating the constitutionally guaranteed rights of free speech and assembly be denied to college students?
Oh, that's right, hearty tea partiers would have no problem with that because the students DeVore is targeting are Muslims.

“It's time to ban this

Goodness gracious, the top of ChuckDeVore.com declares, “Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Happiness.” Banning the MSU would deny its members at least two of those.
A Member of the State advocating another Member of State decide who can meet with who where (Big Douchebag is watching you!) is but the latest fallout from the Feb. 8 arrests of 11
students (the “Irvine 11” if you will, despite three being from Riverside) after Israel's Ambassador to the U.S. Michael Oren was interrupted 16 times while delivering a lecture in the UCI Student Center.
Chuck, we'll save you the Tweet: you still put on a U.S. Army uniform some weekends to defend the right of everyone to have their free speech and assembly rights denied by you.
For that, he deserves a salute, although it's not the one he's probably used to.
