A guilty plea has come from one of the rioters in the U.S. Open of Surfing riots in downtown Huntington Beach this summer.

Chase Scott Christman, 19, of Simi Valley, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor vandalism, inciting a riot and refusal to disperse and was placed on three years of informal probation and 80 hours of community service.

Meanwhile, a reader just asked us about someone else who was arrested following the July 28 riots: Fullerton firefighter Michael John Lytle, 30, of Anaheim.

We'll tell you the same thing we told the reader: Lytle is scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 19 on a misdemeanor charge of delaying a police officer.

We'd previously reported Lytle was placed on administrative leave from his job as a firefighter.
