Cannabis Almanac: Jan 25-March 3

California is arguably the best state in America to celebrate the herb. With an industry that’s fighting harder than ever to be recognized as legit, the cannabis events in California are superior, classy, wild, creative and judgment-free. Furthermore, now that cannabis is decriminalized and you don’t need a doctor’s recommendation to procure or obtain cannabis there are hundreds of events that aren’t technically 420-focused, but are still epic places to celebrate your right to imbibe. Here’s list of cannabis events and fun places to be stoned at in Southern California for the next several months.

Just remember: If you’re under 21 years old and want to go to a cannabis event, do your research and/or reach out to the event throwers to see if you’re allowed to attend before purchasing tickets. Also, just because you don’t need your medical-cannabis recommendation, doesn’t mean you should leave it at home. It’s a smart move to bring it with you if you plan to smoke. It’s also cool to party safe, so don’t smoke (or drink) and drive!

Bureau of Cannabis Control Public Licensing Workshop

Lori Ajax and the Bureau of Cannabis Control are hosting five public licensing workshops in January and February. The workshops will focus on what licensing information is needed and what resources are available for people planning to apply for state commercial cannabis licenses. The Bureau will be joined by other state and local agencies at each licensing workshop. The workshop schedule will include a brief overview and then transition to an open house where people can obtain information from and ask questions of different state and local agencies. The workshops are free and do not require registration to attend. Get in the know and get licensed!

The association and trade shows are more than just a place where professionals and music lovers go to learn about the latest technologies in the music industry. It’s a place where music thrives and the community gathers in support of one another. Watch live performances by your favorite musicians, and it’s possible you’ll meet them after the show, too. I mean, who doesn’t want to roll up a doobie and smoke with Slash? Make your rock n’ roll dreams come true at Winter NAMM—truly the happiest place on Earth.
