Looking for something to do this week other than sit on the couch? Go down the rabbit hole and get your 420 on! From elevated yoga to Cannabis Social’s Vegas night to compliancy workshops– there’s lots of opportunities to partake in the greenery. Here’s a list of the herbal happenings in SoCal that’ll immerse you in the blossoming, smoky community. Just remember: You must be at least 21-years-old to attend events (unless stated otherwise) and have a valid doctors recommendation. Oh, and don’t medicate and drive!

California Cannabis Licensing Seminar

Need the 411 on cultivation? This is seminar is for you. The Freedom of Information Series at Hitman Coffee Shop in Downtown Los Angeles is hosted by lawyers who specialize in cannabis regulation and ocmpliancy. This weeks lunch edition will focus on state licensing and what your canna-business needs to do in order to get licensed.

Yoga and Cannabis in Beverly Hills

The Dr. D crew is holding an elevated yoga session at their luxury event house in Beverly Hills for those looking to get their namaste on. Prior to the meditative sesh, Dr. D. will explain the science behind how and why cannabis is used as a natural pain reliever. You’ll get a tutorial on the session’s featured product, which is a high-end vape pen and cannabis oil. The 90-minute Yin Yoga (sometimes referred to as “slowga”) class will not only explore the finest cannabis, but it’ll also help unite your body, mind and soul through deep, restorative stretches and meditative contemplation.

Cannabis Cultivation Licensing Application Workshop

Learn how to apply for a California state-issued cannabis cultivation license at this free training session hosted by CalCannabis Cultivation Licensing, a division of the California Department of Food and Agriculture. The workshop will go over how to use the state’s new online cannabis-cultivation licensing application system, as well as provide details on eligibility, required documents, compliance rules, site requirements, and more. This training workshop on cannabis cultivation licensing is one of 10 offered across the state this year. Seating is limited; registration is only available via the online Eventbrite form, linked under “register here” below.

That said, this event is a consumption event, and it’s encouraged to bring your own so you can imbibe freely and get yourself into a creative zen space via herbal delights. Cannabis 4 The Cause: PTSD & CTE Discussions

If you’re into cannabis science, this event was made for you. The goals for this session are to provide highlights on the crucial role of the endocannabinoid system in protecting against post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and understanding the neurobiological mechanisms that underlie the onset and development of PTSD. What about other brain injuries– can cannabis help? This session will also focus on discussing research, milestones, and protocol to help prevent additional brain injury. It will cover current research and development on cannabinoid therapy intended to act as a preventative and therapeutic modality for treating Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE). Speakers will include: Heather Manus–RN, from Nature Nurse Health; Ken Sobel JD, from Nature Nurse Health; Brian Krumm CNP, from Harmony Psychiatric, LLC.; and Kyle Turley, Retired Professional NFL Player, founder of Neuro Armor.
