Parker Macy Blues

With a raspy tenor and revolution on the brain, Parker Macy Blues is one of the few young artists in OC that truly makes an effort to embody the soul of the genre affixed to his name. Yet in his attempt to hold true to the stripped-down sound of iconic bluesmen who’ve come before him, PMB still manages to stay current enough to be relevant. It’s a fact cemented in his recent win at the Orange County Music Awards for the title of “Best Blues” back in April. Since then, he has continued on his musical journey with the release of his second album, Hope For the Revolution, released this week. On Tuesday, he’ll take the stage with fellow South County staples Handsome G (or Handsome Grandpa, depending on how long you’ve been listening to them) at La Cave. Providing a semi-sweet balance of folk and introspective song writing, this line-up promises plenty in the way of boot-stomping fun and strong drinks.
