Like Water for Chocolate

Arguably one of the most romantic films ever shot (taken from an equally amorous novel, written by Laura Esquivel), Like Water for Chocolate became one of the most popular foreign-language films to grace American screens. The story of Tita and her undying love for both an unattainable man and the art of cooking, this highly imaginative fable comes to the Bowers museum for a Latin celebration of love and life. Following the movie will be a discussion by film expert and screenwriter Michael Berlin, and following that will be a reception complete with champagne, raspberries and a chocolate selection prepared by the Museum’s lavish restaurant, Tangata. Cuán romántico.
