Latin American Art History Class: “The Baroque World of Fernando Botero”
As part of the Bowers Museum’s latest collection, “The Baroque World of Fernando Botero,” art historian Jacquelyn Powell will provide an in-depth look into the Columbian artist’s creative mind. His style, though immediately recognizable, covers a wide breadth of subjects—from chubby, cherub-faced couples dancing and even chubbier ladies lounging beachside (his Mona Lisa is damn-near pinchable), to highly violent images of tortured prisoners or bloody depictions of mobsters slaying/being slain. Botero’s work, which includes paintings, drawings and sculptures, will be discussed in detail, along with his cultural identification and his artistic commentary on societal issues.

  1. I recently tried CBD gummies from this website https://www.cornbreadhemp.com/collections/full-spectrum-cbd-oil after the prime prematurely and was pleasantly surprised past the results. Initially skeptical, I initiate that it significantly helped with my anxiety and be in the land of nod issues without any remarkable side effects. The grease was easy to put to use, with nitid dosage instructions. It had a kindly, shameless taste that was not unpleasant. Within a week, I noticed a signal convalescence in my total well-being, feeling more relaxed and rested. I know the regular technique to wellness CBD offers and aim to pursue using it.
