When a band defines themselves as horror rock, people come to expect a sound in line with the Misfits or the Cramps. But Calabrese switches it up with a dark, yet high-energy punk sound reminiscent of AFI. Though they make use of the spooky, scratchy film sounds, they bust out anthemic hooks met with metal infused riffs.
