I've said it many times, but I'll say it again: American fast food restaurants do their best work overseas. Burger King's Japan branch is especially creative and productive with not only an apple-topped burger but also a squid-ink colored burger as part of an enviable list of, um, accomplishments. What kind of burger innovation has Burger King America done? Well, I can only think of one recent example and it was just their version of McDonald's McRib.
Now Burger King Japan has created what I would have to call untoppable, because it is quite literally that…untoppable. To add anything else would not be feasible because…well, let me get there. It's called the “Garlic Meat Beast” because it has fried garlic slices in it, but this is a burger that not only has a quarter pound of beef, but also a pork patty, a chicken breast fillet, the aforementioned garlic slices, red miso & green onion sauce, teriyaki sauce, lettuce, onions, tomato, and mayonnaise.
The only protein it's missing is fish, which I'm sure can be arranged…you remember what their motto was.
