Bryce Laspisa, College Student Missing Since Aug. 30, Possibly Sighted in Oregon

Bryce Laspisa, who has been missing since Aug. 30 while driving from his Northern California college to his parents' home in Laguna Niguel, may be in Oregon.

His uncle Brian David told reporters there have been two possible sightings of the 19-year-old in Port Orford.

Bryce Laspisa is NOT the Burned Body Found at Lake Castaic

On his way down from Sierra College north of Sacramento, Laspisa called his mother around 2 a.m. to say he was pulling over to grab some sleep. The next morning, his 2003 Toyota Highlander was found overturned near Castaic Lake with his cell phone, laptop and wallet still inside. But the teen was no where to be found.

It's possible Laspisa climbed out a back window to safety, but Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies also fear he may have suffered head trauma that left him confused. Sightings of him were previously reported in other parts of Southern California, although the most intense searches have been relatively close to Castaic Lake.

“We get the word of a possible sighting and you know, it brings you way up and then you find out, oh it's not Bryce, and it brings you way down,” David told KCAL9′s Andrea Fujii.
