Brea and San Juan Capistrano DUI Checkpoints Tonight, Buena Park's is Saturday Night

Labor Day weekend has creeped up, and so has the countywide Labor Day weekend enforcement against boozing drivers on the road.

Besides saturation patrols in Orange County's four corners–are there four?–Brea and San Juan Capistrano have DUI checkpoints tonight and Buena Park conducts another Saturday night.

The Brea Police Department and Orange County Sheriff's Department, which patrols San Juan Capistrano, have not announced the locations of their stops, which run during the same hours: 6 tonight through 2 a.m. Saturday.

Buena Park's DUI/drivers license checkpoint is scheduled to run from 7 p.m. Saturday through 2 a.m. Sunday near Beach Boulevard and 10th Street.

The “Avoid the 38” task force previously announced there would also be checkpoints in Cypress and Placentia some time between Aug. 17 and this Monday, Sept. 3.

Law enforcement agencies in Laguna Beach, Westminster, La Habra, Los Alamitos, Anaheim, Orange and Tustin and at UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton planned to flood streets known for DUI-related citations and collisions with patrols through Monday, “Avoid the 38” previously revealed.
