Bistro Anju Moves From One South County City To Another

Bistro Anju–arguably the sushi joint to seek out if you happen to be a Central OC-er lost in South County–has moved from Laguna Niguel to Aliso Viejo.

I reviewed them two years ago on a recommendation by Hiro Ohiwa, owner of Cafe Hiro, who is friends with Hideki Saito, Anju's chef and owner.

In that review I said:

“Though the lit sign outside simply says, “sushi” and the space inside is more kitchen than dining room, Saito's restaurant is not a generic neighborhood sushi joint…[it is] one of the county's finer sushi places, one on the same level as peers Hamamori and Bluefin By Abe.”

Whether he took that lit sign with him to the new place, I don't know. You can find the relocated Bistro Anju on Pacific Park/Oso Pkwy and Aliso Viejo Pkwy. at 22912 Pacific Park Dr. Aliso Viejo, CA 92656.
