Eater LA got the tip-off that Greenleaf Gourmet ChopShop has plans to open its third salad-centric restaurant in Costa Mesa. Started by a couple of chef entrepreneurs who cut their teeth in the Patina Group restaurant empire (and who themselves struggled with weight issues), the focus is on healthier items and a whole lot of lettuce. The menu features salads with names such as “Kitchen Sink Cobb,” “The Antioxidant Orchard,” “Buffalo 'Wangs'” and the “Mexplosion.”

There are already has two locations in LA. The first opened in Beverly Hills in summer of 2008; the Century City location recently opened. No specifics are yet known on where in Costa Mesa this first OC branch will land. Guesses?
