As the water supply in the nearby lakes continue to deplete, people in Orange County are running out of places to fish. Not to worry: San Clemente Pier isn't going anywhere—at least not any time soon. At the end and all along the 1,296-foot wooden pier, you can find prime spots where the fish are biting. The pier is open from 4 a.m. to midnight, but you'll want to get there before all the beach bodies scare the fish away. Don't have a pole, run out of bait or need more lures? Right there on the pier, you can rent poles and buy everything else, even bags of ice for your catch. And the best part is you don't need a fishing license.
