BB Gun Drive-bys in Buena Park Result in 2 People Being Shot in Face

An unknown douche is shooting up bystanders with a BB gun in Buena Park.

Patrol Sgt. Bret Carter put out an advisory Monday afternoon stating two incidents happened within 15 minutes of one another late Sunday.

The first happened around 10:45 p.m. in the 8900 block of Knott Avenue, where a dark, four-door compact car pulled up to two men and several  pellets or BB projectiles were fired at them. One man was struck in the lip and cheek before the car drove away north onto Knott Avenue, Carter said.

The victim was treated at the scene by Orange County Fire Authority paramedics and then taken to an area hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

About 11 p.m.,  at Beach Boulevard and Franklin Street, a car fitting the same description as the first pulled up to someone waiting at a bus stop and a shot was fired that struck the upper cheek area before the driver headed south on Beach, Carter said.

The second victim was also treated at the scene by paramedics but did not require a trip to the hospital.

There were no witnesses or video evidence from either case, according to Carter, who asks anyone with information or who saw what happened to call the Buena Park Police Department at 714.562.3901.
