Art of the Marketplace

It’s been said that you eat with your eyes first—a meal is so much more appetizing when it’s beautiful to look at. And there is no food more fresh and beautiful than that of a local farmers market. The Gallery on Glassell has invited several artists to display their own interpretations of favorite outdoor market scenes in the Gallery’s new exhibit, “Art of the Marketplace.” Artists Neil Jacobe, Ernest Lacy, Annette Fussell and Hyatt Moore each share their paintings, inspired by trips around the world. And just when your tummy starts rumbling, stop by the gallery’s La Cocinita and pick up some gourmet ingredients from Spain, Mexico and Italy.
