The Westminster Police Department is reaching out to the public in hopes of identifying a man who jumped to his death from the Magnolia Street overcrossing and onto the northbound 405 freeway last night.
The suicide was reported at 7:36 p.m. Sunday, according to Westminster Police Sgt. Michael S. Chapman.

Described as Asian, age 25-30 and having short black hair, the man had no identification on him, Chapman reportedly told City News Service.
“The victim was found in the roadway by a passing motorist,” added Chapman, who noted the leap briefly closed the San Diego Freeway as the California Highway Patrol assisted in the investigation.
Anyone with information on the man's identity is urged to call the Westminster Police watch commander at 714.898.3315.
