The pair had been in a black Nissan Sentra pulled over at Edinger Avenue and Countess Drive for a traffic violation, police Lt. Mitch O'Brien explained to City News Service.

A search of the Sentra caused a police dog to get excited about a large tire in the trunk that
did not fit the car. It was the tire that contained the coke, which has a street value of nearly $1.3 million, according to O'Brien.
