A 41-year-old man was arrested in Seal Beach this week for wearing women's clothing. Before you punch the civil rights key on your speed dial, let me explain further: the clothing belonged to a woman whose home was burglarized earlier in the day.

Seal Beach Police got a call that a home in the 1600 block of Seal Way had been burglarized some time between 9 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday. Later Tuesday, Antonio Maitreya Nelton of Long Beach was spotted in women's clothing in the 1700 block of Apollo Drive.
Cops who remembered the burglary made contact with Nelton, and when the victimized woman was shown the clothing he was wearing, she identified it as her own. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property and residential burglary.
