Medical dispensaries are dropping like flies in Costa Mesa.
The latest victim: Docs Collective at 2424 Newport Blvd. An investigation of the business led to the arrest of Rick Allen Green, 51, of Costa Mesa, on suspicion of felony possession and sales of marijuana.
Docs was in violation of state law against marijuana sales and city code that prevents the opening and operation of a medical marijuana dispensary, according to Costa Mesa Police.
Search warrants issued by the Orange County Superior Court were served at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Costa Mesa police raided and code enforcement officers served cease-and-desist orders to shut down Nutritional Concepts, Live Well O.C. and Med Mar Patient Care Collective on March 4. West Coast Wellness had received a cease-and-desist order the month before.
Other agencies have shut down targeted dispensaries in Lake Forest, Santa Ana and Garden Grove over the past several weeks.

According to patient reviews on WeedMaps.com,
Docs Collective closed briefly before, sparking concerns that the city
had shut it down. It was apparently closed for remodeling due to rain
damage.
“I went to a handful of different places,” one commenter said of the
previous closure. “None of them could even come close to the selection
or even the quality.”
“Doc is a real cool dude,” wrote another. “His was the first dispensary I ever went to.”
Check that.
