When a resident of the Leisure Word retirement community in Seal Beach confronted a suspected burglar Thursday night, the baddie whipped out a samurai sword and fled, according to police.
Jason Chad Johnson, a 47-year-old transient, was later arrested on suspicion of felony residential burglary and misdemeanor brandishing a deadly weapon.

Los Alamitos Patch has the scoop:
The call to Seal Beach Police came at 7:36 p.m. about the burglary of a house under construction in the 13000 block of Annondale Drive. Johnson was arrested during “an exhaustive search of the area” and later “positively identified as the suspect in this case,” according to police Sgt. Philip L. Gonshak.
In Johnson's possession was a samurai-style sword and evidence from the burglary, Gonshak added.
