We told you way back in October about Amonullah Sakhi,
the then-25-year-old karate instructor who Orange County sheriff's deputies say not only admitted when confronted in his studio to exposing himself to a woman and her baby near a Lake Forest elementary school but revealed he'd put on a similar show to several passing women.
Well, the sentence has been handed down . . .
The Lake Forest resident was sentenced last week to
120 days in jail, three years of probation and sex-offender
Sakhi had previously pleaded guilty to a
court offer to one misdemeanor count of indecent exposure. By then, he was used to admitting his guilt to a judge: Sakhi pleaded guilty to two counts of lewd conduct in public in 2004.
However, guilt on those counts did not require him to be registered as a sex offender. So, he was free to live near Olivewood Elementary School without his Lake Forest neighbors knowing a convicted perv was that close to schoolchildren.
A woman was carrying her infant son to the school around noon on Sept. 11, 2009, to have lunch with her daughter. She glanced out of the corner of eye as she was passing Sakhi's home and noticed him standing in the doorway, jogging pants around his ankles and jerking off for the world to see.
The mom immediately reported what she had seen to a volunteer community liaison at the school. Sheriff's deputies interviewed Sakhi at his karate studio about the incident on Oct. 7, 2009.
He essentially told the cops, yep, that was me flashing the lady and her baby–as well as several other women who passed by.
He was busted on the spot and later booked on suspicion of indecent exposure.
