A young Orange man was convicted today of dragging a 58-year-old woman into the bushes near a
park walking trail and sexually assaulting her.
After being found guilty by a jury of two felony counts of sexual
penetration by foreign object by force, with a sentencing enhancement
allegation for kidnapping in the commission of a sexual offense, Alfredo Fraga, 23, faces up to 30 years to life in state prison at his
Dec. 2 sentencing.

Around 2 p.m. on May 25, 2009, the woman was walking alone on a trail in Esplanade Park in an unincorporated area
of Santa Ana when Fraga grabbed her by the waist and dragged her
into nearby bushes. He put his hands down her pants and fingered her vaginally and anally before she struggled to break free and run away.
