Albert Anthony Morales, Percussion Teacher, Allegedly Got Sexual Beat on 16 y.o. Girl Student


A band instructor was arrested at his Diamond Bar home by Los Angeles County sheriff's detectives Tuesday for the alleged sexual assault of a 16-year-old female student at Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton.

Albert Anthony Morales, a 33-year-old who has tutored percussionists on various Southern California campuses over the past 13 years, is accused of abusing the student while working with the Lancers band in 2006.

Morales, who worked at Sunny Hills between 2004 and 2009, was being held in lieu of $350,000 bail at the sheriff's Walnut Station pending an appearance in court Thursday.

The Fullerton Joint Union High School District tells KTLA/Channel 5 news
that Morales cleared a background check required of all school
employees and volunteers.

But LA sheriff's investigators are looking into whether any other students were victimized by Morales, who also worked at Diamond Bar High School from 1998-2000 and Diamond Ranch High School in Pomona from 2011 until present.
