The man wearing hooded Hurley garb who robbed an Irvine Bank of the West in July 2011 is in custody and facing federal bank robbery charges, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
A federal grand jury issued an indictment against 35-year-old Jesse Ryan Albano in April, but agents did not take him into custody until this week, according to court records.
Prosecutors asked U.S. Magistrate Judge Jean P. Rosenbluth to block bail for Albano, who was born in 1978, because they believe he's a danger to the community and a flight risk.

Rosenbluth agreed.
The FBI alleges that Albano stole nearly $7,600 from the bank on Culver Drive.
Though the case has been assigned to U.S. District Court Judge Beverly Reid O'Connell, a 2013 appointee of President Barack Obama.
No trial date has been set.
In 2006, Albano–who also uses the name Jesse Alderglen–pleaded guilty to bank robbery and was sentenced to 63 months in prison after robbing a Washington Mutual Bank in Mission Viejo of more than $7,200.
Court records also show Albano violated parole after his release in that case.
