One of our favorite October traditions gets an artfully spooky twist with Rothick Art Haus’s latest exhibit, “Monstoberfest,” curated by Irene Mendonis. Celebrating all that is “creepy, cruel and remotely cute” about monsters, demons and ghouls, “Monstoberfest” is the largest artist line-up in the gallery’s history. The collection features frightening portraits, mutant children, freakish toys and plenty of other delightfully scary fun stuff. Following the exhibit’s opening reception (with music from Zombie Blues musician, Brother Cecil) will be an after party at the Doll Hut for much liquor consumption. “Monstoberfest” bonus: the first hundred guests receive a free glow-in-the-dark beer stein.
